Open doors

So things are moving kind of slow, like slower than a snail's pace slow. But that's ok; after talking with some friends about it they encouraged me and gave me the boost I needed.  Speaking of which, I've already submitted for 2 assignments, so I will either be in Frankfort or Louisville. It's still going to take a while to get the ball rolling, but at least it's rolling. I don't know what's in store for either one yet, but it's all good. I also found out today that a job I was really interested in I did not get; I'm bummed but it just goes to show you that it wasn't meant to be. But, like I said, there have been open doors.

Pending the completion (and passing) of a drug screen on Tuesday, I have a PRN job. In case you don't know what that means, it's a fancy nurse way of saying "as needed." I like to call myself a substitute nurse. The company it's with is actually with the same one from the job I didn't end up getting, but it's ok. At least I got my foot in the door in there. I think it's going to be a really good opportunity for me; plus I'll still be able to work in between traveling. So yeah. More doors are opening, even though some are closing. I'm feeling more and more optimistic that things are opening up and I'm not going to be just stuck waiting until the end of August to start working again. I really do miss working; it'll be good to get back into it again. I'm looking forward to the new opportunities ahead and am eager to see what's in store next!
