12 down...one more semester to go!
2 more rotations done, which means only one more to go! Maternity has been done for a few weeks now, but today I finished up community health in Jackson County. It was a wonderful place to be for the last 12 weeks or so...or however long I was there. It's been a long day and I am super tired. It didn't even dawn on me to blog last week; both of my nursing finals were yesterday so I was busy studying and preparing (yeah right). But those are dead and buried and I actually did quite well (951 on maternity and 950 on community). How they score them is the company really likes it if you get above an 850...they have a special system that converts them to percentage grades. In our world a 77% and above is passing, so I assume an 850 estimates to around a 77%. Whatever. Anyway, mine came out to an 85% and an 89%. BOO YAH!!!!
k, ugfvbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb (Yoda is proud of me too). Now that I only have one semester of school left there's only one clinical rotation I must complete in order to graduate. Trying to type this with a kneading cat on my lap...such is life of a busy nursing student. It's just so surreal to me, again, how much I have completed since I started 2 years ago. I've seen so much, learned a lot, met staff and patients that have changed me in more ways than I can imagine. But wow I have enjoyed where I have been for the most part with the exception of a few bad eggs, but you get over those! I guess now I should talk about clinicals...but there really isn't much to tell. Sadly it was a rather deadish day, so I spent a little bit of time with a well-baby check and then some time studying for my non-nursing final that's next week.
This will probably be my last post for the year of 2012. I'll be back next year after I figure out where I'll be placed for my capstone course! It's been fun. See you all next year! :]
